I tried to sew a long piece of fleece to a piece of cotton fabric to make sort of a scarf for someone. The finished product is all twisty. I know it must be because of the stretchiness of the fleece but dont know if there is a remedy. Please advise...thanks.

It can be tricky sewing a stretchy fabric to a more stable one. Let the machine feed it in...try and not pull on the fabric as it goes through, a walking foot may help also.

The only way I can make fleece behave is with a walking foot.

Thanks for the information.

I am going to make a Christmas gift for my younger sister using fleece and I've never sewn with it before.
