I had looked around but obviously not extensively enough. Thanks for finding that. I will stop looking for a pattern. She does have some beautiful PP pictures posted and her blog is a source of inspiration also. I tried finding somewhere to email her but haven't been successful with that. Thanks to everyone that replied.

Most of the pieces are pentagons but if you look close, the center piece is a hexagon.

If you take the link above and then select Pentagons & Variations on the left hand side you will see several choices. In the photo ncredbird linked to it looks to me that they have used two rounds of Stretched Pentagons around a central Hexagon.

This may just get me interested in paper piecing again. The last time I tried it was in the 1970's and that was just with hexagons - I found it so time consuming I just never had the time to really do it, but having just retired I might give it another go!
