why does it have to go in a box, if it is all fabric? just fold and put in a mailer, or am I not understanding.

my hexagon table toppers have Deco bond 809 in them. they are slightly stiff and I really don't want to fold them. Large pizza boxes are 18 inches.

Find a pizza place that offers extra large pizzas? Those boxes would be bigger, or maybe just stack into a flat rate box?

The way we ship record albums is to make a box. I took apart a box from the grocery store to fit the record and just taped all the way around with packing tape (I make the boxes flat). We even shipped one to England and it arrived just fine. Just make sure you make the box big enough that you don't have to worry about cutting the table topper. You can check with the post office as to how big a box they will take, I can't remember.

I'd fold 'em up and use USPS FREE Large Priority Mail envelopes...The postman will deliver them to you.

Why not purchase a plastic box or even a basket it would fit in and include in the present. Plastic envelopes with cardboard set in.

try a plumbing supply store...coils of cooper use to come in flat boxes

Do you have a Container Store close by? They have all shapes of boxes. If I remember correctly I have purchased some fairly flat yet wide boxes there.
