jaba I hope your day got better - I've never been in that sort of pain and I hope I never am. I know the cold bothers you so the winter season can't be easy.

I tried snow skiing once and my flat feet cramped up so bad and I popped my knee that I figured it just wasn't for me. I'll go tubing/sledding any day of the week. I love to make snowmen and am interested in learning to use snow shoes and maybe even try learning to do cross country skiing - they offer lessons at the local nature center a couple of times throughout the winter season - I'll have to check the schedule. I really just enjoy winter weather.

I received an awesome table runner from Laurel - aka oneteappot and will post a photo after I get back from class tomorrow.

I think about 6 more Teresa (tracy lol). There are a few still out there and a few days left to send so it might be a week plus a couple til they all come in. Really cool selection this time .. wondering anyone want to do a batik runner swap for the new years? just a few players and we could do it right through this swap so no need to go open another posting.. we did this with some patriotics a while back and another I forget but anyways.. would be due Jan 1st.. maybe a table mat swap vs a tunner? just an idea. ...love batiks here so maybe..

I don't think Grandma Di posted a photo of the table runner I swapped with her - just thought I would share.
My photo is very blurry - sorry about that! I also made her a mug rug to go with it. It doesn't show very good in the photo but the back ground of the floral fabric is blue and hence the blue plaid.

I'm so sorry. I ment to post but I seem to have gotten a bit forgetful. I think it must be all the meds the doc has me on for my back. The mat is so pretty on my table. Thank you so much for the beautiful mat and mugrug.

Jaba, pain stinks! And chronic pain just wears a person out! I try and stay upbeat..usually if it's a bad day, I go off alone..not to pout and whine, but so I don't worry my dh and Mom..I have always wanted to be alone when I am sick or hurting. Sending some prayers your way!

Lastly, it is snowing here!! A big winter snow, our 1st this season..and I love it! We live in the country, so end up with some big snow drifts..and of course unplowed roads..in April 2012 we received 21+ inches of snow in a 24 hour period..lot of people stuck out in that, even in town where roads are plowed. So I pray everyone is safe, stay warm. Hubby has his days off work starting this afternoon. So we are fixing to get wood burning in our fireplace, get Mom a fire going in her living room's fireplace. Then dh and I may watch a spooky movie...
