She's not my granddaughter and I'm proud of her. She is already one up on Home Ec classes in school. Do they still have HOme Ec?. That is a nice size bag. Love her colors. Eveidently, she follows directions well. If I were a teacher, she would get an A+ from me.

Once her friends see it, they will be asking her to make one for them. Excellent project -- and such straight stitching! I was a home ec teacher a very long time ago and this is definitely much more sophisticated than a first project. And to answer the question of the Home Ec classes in schools: some schools do have them, but they are now called Human Resources. And not much sewing going on there (although some teachers do include a little more on their own).

I know we haven't seen the last of this little girls work.

What a talented Daughter you have, it is beautiful. You should also post this in projects done with vintage machines.
