One is never too old for a lovey! I am 68 and mine (an old teddy bear) sits right in my sewing room on his own special shelf! Good for you. He will grow up to be sweet and tender with a good gramma like you to provide loveys!

That's exactly what I was thinking. Just let a kid be a kid for a while. Gee whiz! I bet you will have a happy little camper after this. Good for you!

that is so adorable. Don't you hate how some people make decisions for the child? My DS is not a baby anymore, but he still remembers and wants to keep his "mousey pillow" . He is 11 and while he may not want to parade it in front of his friends, he still wants to know it is in his room.
was minky hard to sew?

I don't think I could do a tutorial. Just go to Cotton Ginney's on the net and look for the pattern. You can't miss it! But thanks for asking!

Thanks for your lovely comments. Minky is not hard to sew if you take your time and use a walking foot. The only thing I don't like about it is it sheds really bad where it's been cut.

Know of a similar experience. One thought the child too old for such nonsense, and so he chose to leave it at the other house where it was okay. He is now 9+ and still loves his blanket.
