I like the red better too, but it was not what I was assigned. this one, based on 54-40 or fight, I call stars along the border.

Love the 54-40 or fight coloration! They are all wonderful that have been shown though.

I have been stockpiling the black and white for another quilt for my family. It is a very fun mix to work with.

I love all your patterns but am especially drawn to the black, red and white compass point and the 54/40 or fight. I am just now getting to the point I feel I can try something a little more challenging and these look like something I might be able to do.

The manager of a locally based pharmacy has gone WAY out of her way to take care of us, so when she complemented my purse, I offered to make her one. Then I designed and made one for her 4 year old. This is my design for one side of the 6" purse. I topstitched the body of the sun in place with machine blanket stitch. I changed it so the darker purples were at the bottom.

both have pockets for LED flashlights (Mother has 4 pockets in all) and a loop for a carabiner (sp?) which has a quick release for keys. I forgot to take pix of mother's. I made this little purse last night.

I just 'revisited' another block. I did it with blue, but red works better for me.
