That quilt IS a keeper!! Give your daughter an IOU and take the stress off. You could put a ribbon around what you've finished so fat on the bargello so she'll have an idea of what's to come.

Your quilt is beautiful, and definitely a keeper! Sounds like your daughter understands, and she will eventually get a pretty quilt too!

Beautiful. Love the colors. I am starting a carpenter's wheel/star lap quilt today for my mil for christmas today. I will be sewing like crazy also! I'm sure there are several of us in this boat.

I know what you mean. I have wrapped a finished pieced top, batting and backing fabric in a box and included a card stating "some assembly required". They loved it and my stress was reduced. Then I quilted it the next week without the pressure. So it was done by New Year's.
