I was wondering if this is the foot you are referring to. I would love to know. It would be great to fix my problem in the future. I have this foot which came with my brother sewing machine. I am presently trying all the ideas that you all wonderfully shared with me

Unless the mistake is huge it will probably never be seen in the finished quilt. Pictures will help everyone give better advice.
Pretty much every block I've sewn so far on my first quilt has at least 1 mistake, most likely more. By the time it's done and washed I figure most will blend right in.

Yes! This is the foot. I put a small piece of blue tape at the groove I wanted, which also helps me keep my fabric on the mark.
