I generally am not a big fan of log cabin blocks but this is absolutely stunning!! And the quilting is awesome - I love it!

For me this is without a doubt the most impressive use of scraps that I have seen! NOW I am finally inspired to get to my sewing room and use up those fabrics that have been "cling ons" for the last ten years. Thank you so much for sharing. Your quilting is also very inspirational.

Thanks to everyone for the kind comments. I used Soft and Bright batting, from the Warm Company. It's a poly batt that has a wonderful even consistency and enough loft that the quilting shows, but it's not too heavy. I bought a couple of bolts of it when JoAnn's had it on sale and have been very happy with it. They no longer have it by the bolt on the web site, and I haven't been in to the store recently to see if they have it there.
