How pretty! Mine has about 40 blooms on it. I read in one of my Gardening Books to put 3 Tablespoons of Castor Oil on the soil in the pot in October. I started doing that year before last, and it bloomed till March.

My Christmas cacti usually start to bloom around Thanksgiving and continue through Christmas, but not this year. I've had hardly any blooms on any of the 4 of them. I moved them but they are still in a bright place. Maybe they need feeding? Don't know what is going on with them.

I love this plant! I bought one years ago... divided it and gave away a section or two... then last summer, put mine out with several other plants in a spot it liked, but inadvertently gave it too much water. I'd almost killed it when I realized it was getting too much water. so I trimmed it back to almost nothing and hope for the best. Well, I had ONE lonely bloom this year! But at least, we're back in business!! Whew! That was close!! Word to the wise: don't water too much!! It it's in a spot it really likes, it might bloom again around Easter!
