I just signed up for Project UFO in my guild. We are completing 6 UFOs in 12 months; 1 due every 2 months. This will help me get some of them done. Some are tops, some are cut into parts, some are just the gathered fabrics. Including these 6 there are about 13. But I have an overwhelming stash right now. I spent time today pulling patterns and fabric to make kits, so I'm sure that number will grow! I'm determined to not buy more fabric except backing or to finish a quilt. I'm hoping to complete 1 a month and to ease my craving to horde fabric. Hopefully this will work. 2014 is my year for destashing and learning to really enjoy my quilting again!!

Only 9 years?

I don't have any UFO's, but I have lots of patterns and a big stash that hasn't been allocated to any specific pattern yet. I'm sure it would take far more than 9 years to use it all up, but that isn't the goal, is it?

This year I joined a UFO thread on the Board. The group was great and helped me to complete 6 of my 14 UFO's. Problem is I am joining three quilt along's in the new year so if I'm not careful I will be right back where I started.

Just put together a UFO list for the 2014 UFO contest at our LQS. I have a list of over 50. That doesn't include any kits or quilts that I have collected fabric for! Time to get busy!!

I have quite a few, maybe 10 or more. I've taken a number of classes and then not finished the quilt, usually because I mostly want bed sized quilts.

I don't have many, but I don't count the string quilt blocks, since I build them as I create scraps, or the scrappy four patches, since they are my go-to when I want to sew without thinking too much.
I do have a stash without firm plans.

lol !!!! I have been buying fabric, kits, rulers, gidgets/gadgets, and sewing notions for years. My reasoning was I "had to buy" them because when I retire I won't have the money. This was "sound financial reasoning" to me!
Well, my job was eliminated this summer. I am 60 y/o with out my usual income. I sure am glad I have a good stash and supplies now! I should not need anything for my "she cave" for several years!!!! Oh, yes, I have UFOs!!

You are not a quilter unless you have a "few" UFOs, WIP or whatever along with your stash. So enjoy! Just think about those poor folks who don't have the fun we do!!!!!

I actually only have a few UFOs. My goal is to finish them by Valentine's Day. They are

1. tack down the hanging sleeve on a Thanksgiving wallhanging
2. finish quilting a Christmas wallhanging
3. finish a paper piecing project started last February
4. finish a stained glass applique wallhanging from a class
5. finish the big block quilt

However, I have MANY projects planned and ready to go!

Only 9 years? That's easily manageable. lol
I was hell-bent on finishing something over Christmas break. Yesterday I stood in front of the leaning tower of UFOs and could not for the life of me pick one. Too overwhelming. Instead I went into my sewing room and put the final border on another UFO. SIGH!
