Here are my geese. Ugh! Only need 112 if I counted right for the border.

I randomly pulled a UFO project to start and was dismayed to find it was mostly pulled fabric, with very few pieces cut and one sample square made. Arghhhhhh......... I am not sure I'm ready to start off with such a big project. LOL

I think I'll set it back for next and start with making a sampler from some of my orphan blocks. Hmmmm, I don't see anything in the rules against doing that. LOL

What rules, if they need to be done and you have let them sit there, get r done girl! As for the other project, remember if you are not totally set on it, dispurse that fabric, put the sampler with your orphan blocks, and the pieces in the scrap bin and it is done. Can't help myself.

QM, I am giving your suggestion serious consideration!!
Meanwhile I've been mixing and mingling all the orphans and hoping they will become one big happy family.
This photo is where they have set themselves up for the night so I'm going to let them hang out for a while and see how they go. I have lots of strip set pieces to fill in the blank areas; they can be cut to width as needed.
Of course there's always the option of adding one background color to sash and join all blocks which would calm the whole thing down from a riot to a town meeting. But then, sometimes I kinda like a riot going on.

Linda, once pieced you could dye it with a tan fabric dye to subdue the brightness. Would be longer lasting than tea dying.

I need this. My life consists of UFOs these days! My more pressing ones are an applique doll quilt, a wallhanging of exchange blocks, a bali pop bag (that just needs the binding hand sewn down), and a mei tai baby carrier. Whee, that doesn't look so bad written down. Feels overwhelming though!

Krista: The people on this thread kind of define UFOs any way they want. I just read a entry on the sister thread that defined a UFO as anything that had been designed. With that definition I would be in real trouble. Never complete all of them in ten lifetimes. I too did the CS and part of my contract with myself is no new starts will remain unfinished by the end of the year, in other words, no new UFOs. Sorry your not liking Bonnie's design. I went with her colors too, and while they aren't what I would choose its a pleasure to work with sunny colors during the winter.
