First Ugly Quilt

I also don't think it's at all ugly! I love your dark floral print and wouldn't take off the dark border. I would add the darker pink in a 2" outer border tho, and then bind it with the floral print. IMHO, that would bring the center of the quilt and the sashings together in the outer borders and make the quilt into a unit.
If you are good at quilting, then I would use a dark gray thread and do leaves in the sashings and something floral in the dark pink squares.

Ditto! I love, love, love this quilt and as a matter of fact, think it DOES POP! You have lots of solid to indulge yourself in fantasy quilting--as desired. And if you still don't like it when you get through, it can have a home with me! froggyintexas

I like it, but I have an idea you might want to try...replace blue border with hot pink, and applique a large pink/hotpink flower at the top right, with the stem and leaves coming up the right side of quilt??

I have the flower print fabric also. I like the quilt very much and think you did an excellent job with it. While one of the pinks isn't stand out bright, I think it has a very soft spring like feel to it.
