Got my triangle ruler yesterday....Now for those hourglass blocks....the ones that finish the right size & not skew-wiff.....Whitepine ...why didn't mine turn out like that?

    That is pretty, dotcom.

Whitepine, I'm like you. I can sew all this together, but when it comes to quilting? I'm lost. I've done a few lap quilts with tying them. I did one of the Train quilts on here by just using the wavy stitch up and down a long the seams. Not much of a quilt quilter

The 1st medallion finished at 40" square. I think I will send it to my LAQuilter. Her experience always help me add a special finish.
Sewing #2 center now. Flowers, thanks to a package from my Sectret Pal with pansy fabric. This Board is so much fun!
I have to try the hourglasses!

Several hours later... found the curling ribbon border . Want to make a 4" border for my 12" center. How much fabric will I need?
    Thanks!

I'm really enjoying this quilt along and following everyone's beautiful medallion quilts as well as the discussions. Here is an update on where my Medallion is.

Not too much resewing.. mostly I have accidently turned blocks from the design wall to the sewing machine when I'm distracted.

Thank you Mfay and Dotty. This project is definitely being a bit of a challenge for me. Am already looking forward to next months borders.

I love that ribbon border. Haven't totally given up on using it for one of my rounds. I'm just as excited as you about the Feb. round. I even input what I have done so far into EQ so I can audition the possibilities. The whole medallion style is making me rethink the design process. It is really nice not to contemplate making a lot of just one or two blocks.
