Default churn dash

I'm working on a UFO = churn dash made from muslin and feed sacks. I have no idea what to use for the in between blocks. Other than more muslin, what would you use?

I am working on a top using the latest Missouri Star quilting tutorial and 2 10 inch fabrics. I would chose the muslin and the feed sack. They are sewn together and cut in such a way that there is a small pinwheel in the center of the churn dash. MUCH more interesting and really fun to make.

I am off to work and do not have time to look up the website but I bet someone else here can find it. I love this block.

The churn dashes are already made - I'm in the "putting it together" phase.

I would do all of my churndash blocks and then take them to the LQS or using my stash, lay down several pieces that you like and then put your blocks on them with spacing like your sashing would be. I have found that works great

there are a lot of two block quilts out there and they look great. you could search blocks and find one that might look good next to the churn dash ones. I made one and put them on point and made smaller ones to put beside the larger ones. even in the side triangles. I am in the process of quilting it now. well, soon.
