Cool Moving Quilt/Sew Supplies from room to room

Someone had a post in the past few days - I can't find the post - looking for a way to take their most used items from machine to machine, room to room. She said in her post that she could not afford to have duplicate sets of scissors and other things for each machine and by her chair and was looking for an easy way to carry everything together.

When I was at Michaels yesterday, I found this ~

from the top with the drawer pulled-up

I haven't loaded it yet, but I am planning on putting my scissors, rotary cutters in the stand-ups on the left hand side, needles and small stuff in the top and my hand quilting threads and stuff in the drawer. Lots of options. The price with no discount, sale or coupon was only $6.95. I thought that was a great price for something that could become very well used in my house.

Oh, I need one of those too. Hopefully something similar is available here too.

I live in Ohio but winter in FL. I bring my sewing machine and serger with me and have some basic sewing supplies I keep in FL. I bought a tackle box at Walmart to carry my rotary cutters, sewing machine needles, safety pins, various measuring tools and other odds and ends I don't use often but like to have on hands. It works great and I have a place to store my tools in FL since I have limited space to sew in my condo. I leave an old cutting mat and ruler in Fl and bought new ones for home. This works well for me

I like the ten drawer rolling carts from Sams Club. They are under $25.00 and you can roll them from place to place and all your tools are in one place...

I have a few tool boxes that stack on top of each other. And it will amaze you how easy it has been to fill each with the same notions. All those pesky things that you were just using that wandered off on their own-that as soon as they are replaced they reappear. I now have 3 tool boxes that are very handy to grab and go. Whether its only the living room or if I want to go visit and take some hand sewing with me.

Great organizer but it sure is lacking in the pretty department. LOL.
