Pattern calls for 12 1/2 inch block. But you can adjust and make any size. I just made one for myself and made it 16 1/2 inches.

I like your calendar - a lot. It folds-up which is a really good idea. I will try this today. I have a calendar next to my phone and the space is a mess from all the stuff that collects with the calendar. The fold-up will work.

When you put the folded squares in the corners, are they set so that the corner of the triangle is on the corner of the item or is it set so that the triangle corner is opposite the corner of the item leaving an opening in the corner?? I hope this question makes sense. Also what is the hanger tab look like that you slip on the dowel? Maybe a picture would help me better understand! I'm having a duh day, lol

Well, where have I been? This is really a good idea for those "orphan blocks" that are sitting around, and I do have a few. Thanks for your post.
