Thank you ladies I think I will dive in and get the Log Cabin book as well as the book with the Shakespeare in the Park Pattern.

Let us know how you do. I have quite a few of JM's books, but when I look at the directions I get lost and don't try to make any. She seems to break down her sewing much different than I do so I just can't seem to get past that.

That's harder than it sounds. She has at least three log cabin books!

Don't forget to check your library, that is where I got her books.

Same here. I bought the book with SITP but can't seem to grasp the fabric needs for it. I think you are right, it's just a different approach from the way I work, so I get stuck. Maybe some day!

In case you'd be interested, one of the Yahoo Groups is a Shakespeare in the Park group. I love that you can see so many finished quilts in this pattern once you join. And if you don't belong to any of these groups, joining is quick and easy and usually the moderator gets back to you in under 24 hours. Some groups are more active than others but once you are a member you can always look at all of the photos.
