Thanks for the protein tip. It is so true. When I first started dieting I skipped a lot of protein and tried to live just on salads etc. I found I was always hungry. Finally realized the problem and now include some in every meal. Amazing how thing work when we do it right.
My weight is still at a standstill but I am still trying.

There are some good sounds out there that indicate weight IS BEING LOST - now, remember,we don't want to find it again!! Guess that weekend of football snacking caught up with me. Will have to be extra careful the rest of the month if I don't want it to show at the end.

JC is too cute, Quiltermomma!!! And thanks for the comic, I'm getting a really sick pleasure out of her about to 'do away' with the scales!!

I got so excited, I stepped on the scale and lost 3 lbs!!! Then, I realiazed I haven't been going to the gym because my shoulder is still sore from my fall on the ice and I'm afraid of making it worse. I know as soon as I get back to the gym the 3 lbs. are going to reappear. Oh, well, I just keep working. I bought beans last night and will make a pot of beans for this week. It's supposed to snow a lot today. Better a warm pot of filling beans than what I normally buy for us to snack on!

Here is Hank. He is a hot mess!! He thinks he's a lap dog, but at almost 80 lbs that's a bit tough.

Cute furbabies. I am off for a snow day again today. We only have 5 days built into our schedule. ANy more and i will have to make them up in June. I would not like that at all. Due to some construction in one of the schools we already get out a little bit late this year. We also don't are air conditioning. Here are a couple of quilts I just finished. Both are from my stash. I still need to quilt them.
I am working on a disappearing pinwheel. I am doing it in 2 colors. It is a tutorial from Missouri star. Love her tutorials.

I found a quilt block on Pintrest that I love. It is paper pieced. Does anyone know how to follow it back to the original post or how I can post it on here so someone can help to find it??? The link on the picture leads no where.

Have finally finished a project I"ve been working on for about 16-18 months. It's finished and took it today for show and tell at the guild. They will be hung in the church narthax next month. Each one is 3'x42".

Ok, with Martin Luther king day and a foot of snow, dh is out of town so no shoveling till someone knocks on my door, so nothing is going in or out of the house except the fur babies. Will send the sq's as soon as I can! Hope everyone is safe and warm, or cool, and doing well

Nothing but cold going on here. And my husband is back in LA on business - what's wrong with this picture!! Had a huge drift in front of the garage yesterday so I shoveled it out. We got some snow last night so I shoveled some more today. That's was my exercise!

I've been working on a quilt for my daughter. A black & white chevron one. She picked out the fabric when she was here before Christmas. It's going together pretty quickly.
