    Bonnie's colours were primary blue, green, yellow and orange with neutral backgrounds, I went with Purples warm/cool, teals/turquoises, yellows/gold, warm oranges thru to rust and tone on tone neutrals. I just went with my eye, all the fabric is from stash apart from the turquoise border as I ran low, no paint chips here as I am in the UK

    As for matching up seams... have you tried washable school glue yet? You can check to see if your seams match BEFORE you sew! I glue everything now.
    I have school glue, but 'normally' I don't have any issues with matching up intersections as I use a technique I figured out here:

    All through the making of this quilt top, I did't need to use pins, as you can see if you follow my tute above the tiny bit of thread holds everything in place.

    I just struggled with the chevrons..as many others did too, just one of those things, but thanks for the tip!
