I wish I was a snowbird. I live in Ontario Canada. Right now it is -12 F and last night it went down to -15 or more. I don't ever remember such a cold winter and I am freezing.. This winter cannot end soon enough to suit me....Brrrrrrrrr

I plan to be a snowbird. I live in the California desert, we had 130 degrees F last summer! My friend lives in Washington state, as do 5 of my grown kids and 8 grands. I'm getting older and it makes sense for my friend and I to share houses, follow the good weather. We get along great, have been friends for 35 years, our kids think it's a good Idea too.

If I were going to be a snow bird, I'd fly to a more snowy place. I love to snow ski! Our mountains are really lacking in the snow fall this winter in the Pacific NW.

I hear ya Mayme! Michigan and Ohio are more than a tad cold and in OH it's going to be a week of our coldest yet! I'm too old for this crap. so over winter freezes! My oldest brother and his wife go their trailer, in Florida, every winter. The rest of the family huddles with a quilt and the dog near the heat registers or enjoys it. I am one of the former. lol

We had been going to FL for the winter for about 7 years. I cannot stand the cold. Unfortunately, we now have temporary custody of our 12-year-old granddaughter. Of course, that means no Florida; and this is the coldest winter I can remember since I've been a kid.

We plan to be full time RVers when DH retires (Jan 2016-2 years Woohoo). We really like Texas (City of Conroe, north of Houston) and will probably make that our home base. Last year we went down there in January and, as luck would have it, it was cold (30's). However by the end of the week it was high 60's and there were people fishing on the lake. The problem I have is up here in Wisconsin, winter literally can last 6 months and unless you ski or snowmobile, there is not alot to do. At least when it's in the 40's or 50's you can still get out without fear of hypothermia!

I have live in Illinois for the past 40 years and we just moved to Florida 7 months ago and are loving it. I think it was the perfect year to move with all the cold weather that they have had in IL this year.

We use to lived in IL for our whole life and now we are in FL and wonder why we lived in IL all those years. Do not miss the cold and snow one bit. It is paradise here.
