I enjoy the whole process from making my first cut right on through the last stitch of the binding- for me it's always been the process. there are different aspects with each individual quilt- sometimes the design process- sometimes the playing with the layout- auditioning- trying out new different combinations or patterns to see how different it can look- sometimes the quilting is the 'fun part' always the binding is wonderful- because that means I got a new quilt all done- start to finish- Yea! a wondrous moment.

Definitely piecing. A well pieced block gives me a feeling of satisfaction. I find cutting a bit tedious, and I can't quilt worth beans.

Cutting and piecing, if I were a rich woman I'd send all my tops out to be quilted.

I love the piecing, most of the time I call myself a "topper" instead of a quilter. But I also love doing the bindings and that LAST stitch, being able to call it FINISHED ! ! ! !

I am not rich but do send all my large pieces out , from Alabama to Indiana. There is a lovely lady in West Point that does wonderful work and is very reasonable. Her name is Viki Kirby, you might like to try her.

Yep..me too. I love making the top and doing the binding. I sew my binding on the front by machine, and then I do the back of it by hand. To me, there's nothing so satisfying as doing that back by hand, 'specially on that last side. That finished feeling is great!

I like the piecing and putting the blocks on my design board to see it all come together.

I really love the whole process, but my favorite part is picking out a pattern and the fabrics I'm going to use to make it.
