I also did the double slice layer cake and loved how it came out. A definite do again pattern.

Look at Moda Bake shop - they have free patterns that use Pre-cuts - you can find patterns for layer cakes and everything else there.

Missouri Star Quilt Company on YouTube has a quilt made with a layer cake called Alter Ego that I just did and it was fun and am very pleased with how it turned out. Check it out on YouTube or on Missouri Star.

I am just about to use the same fabric to make this quilt, don't know the name of it.

I made this one with layer cakes. It went together really really fast with no problems matching seams etc - in fact, not very technical at all but extremely effective.

Mine ended up queen size with 2 layer cakes and a few pieces left over. I also used yardage for the background and put mine onto white. Sorry I don't have a pic - it's all rolled up waiting to be quilted. But I loved making this one and will be doing it again.

Alternatively, try the You've got Mail quilt - it's nice and trendy.

I'm planning to do this one on a layer cake:

This was posted previously on the board, and looks easy.

I am making Fresh from Camille Roskelley's book Simply Retro book. I borrowed the book from the library, so it was free.
