I think clotheslines are called "solar driers" now. Very politically correct. At least the store still stocks clothes pins. My neighbors envy me mine.

I hang laundry out to dry The only things I toss in the dryer after the clothesline are the towels and jeans for about 10 minutes to soften them. And I love Martha's bags and they are great for walkers-I made 2 for the sides and a larger one for the front of a friends walker. She loved them. I even stitched them so she could keep her things separated. Colored pencils-artist brushes etc.. I improvised the pattern for me too. I made mine wider and shorter for seam rippers and scissors etc.. and I tacked it to the right end of my sewing table. So far it has been great but I don't think it likes seam rippers I still keep losing them. I just bought my second one of the new year. Do you think they sell Stock in seam rippers??? It would be nice if we could get some of our money back on these LOL

I'd love to hang some of my laundry out again, but since moving to OK, the dust would have it filthy again before it ever got dry!!!!

Love them all - but the kewpie one the best. Unfortunately we live in a place where clotheslines are not allowed. I love the smell of sun-dried sheets though - reminds me of living at my parents home.

I have a dryer but never use it. My daughter and daughter in law use it when they are here. They just don't know the joy of hanging out your clothes. It is freeing - just like quilting!!!

I made one many years ago out of a pair of baby bib overalls that were cut short. I just sewed a straight seam across the bottom and cut off the extra with the snaps on it. I got the overalls at a yard sale. They lasted many years of hanging outside year round. I love hanging out laundry when I can. I love the smell of the laundry when it is brought in.

Love my clotheslines! I am the only one around that has them and frequently will go out and find neighbors' laundry, especially blankets and quilts, hanging on them.
