I really like your animal prints... it's going to be a really cute quilt!
Mine's in scarlet and grey but I can't get the picture to upload.

I lucked out on using a floral directional print. I've turned it on its side and will play with width and length. Perhaps a 7 x 9 layout so it will look "finished" I didn't care for the one in the instructions with the 6 x 8 layout as it looked like one end wasn't finished. These are some of my blocks on the design wall in a 5 x 5 layout. I must confess this isn't my favourite design, but it will make a good gift or charity quilt. I've finished for the day and will finish the flimsy tomorrow.

well ladies i will admit, i missed the first few instructions because i had a wrestling meet, I printed them off when i got home and went to take a nap, when i saw the final instruction i decided not to make it. i really dont like the finished design, i think i will try something else with the fabric. i am jealous of the fact that you got it sewn all in one day.

Great job Belfrybat!! I am not really happy with using my print, but it will have to do! I wished I used a print that read as a solid such as yours!

Tweety - I like it very much. And I think the print adds to the overall design. I don't like the fact the quilt looks "unfinished" with using an even number of blocks for the width -- I'm talking about the pattern, not your particular quilt. I'm going with a 5 x 7 array so I end up with the same blocks on each end. I just think it looks more finished.

I I don't like the way mine has so much contrast. The yellow just jumps out and hits you in the face. But I think a border might help tone that down a bit.

This is the layout I think I'll do. What do you think?
