Well now that I am home and I have drooled all over everyone else's adorable borders and loved all the wonderful ideas.....I can start on mine. The object for me is to not have to buy any material but I don't know......that is going to be a very hard thing to do. LOL. Ahhhhh darn.......I know you all are so with me on that. Decisions decisions.
I think what I will do is make up a few to see if I like them and then decide before making a whole bunch of little squares. I have to catch up......soon. No dilly dallying here.

works4me.....Love your's

Works4me-that is turning out really nice. All the colors play so well together and your last border is just the right size. Now to figure out what size I want my border to be!

Well this is my second border. I had to increase the size by 4 inches so I added a border print to do it, in the process I learned to miter the corners. One of those things that I never had a reason to learn. The color is distorted, the outer border is a dusty lavender, not pink. The block size is 9 inches, I purposely made them large because I wanted plenty of background to lighten up the whole thing.

Emma, very very nice, looking at the border rests ones eyes, then the eye is taken right back to the center. Great job so far, & I love the colors.

Everyone is doing really interesting work. This one is almost done, intended to be a wall hanging. It gets a border . Will end up about 44" square.

The new borders are looking great! I might, just maybe, get to work on mine tomorrow after school (I homeschool).

Here is my round 2 and I'm loving it although the 4 patch in the corners are not all the same I may take them out and just put in complete green squares. Plenty of time to think about it. This is an awesome challenge thinking about colours and the design.
