Sunflowerzz-where are you located? Maybe the next time I have to go to Fresno, we could grab a quick cup of coffee/tea. I love to meet other members.

That sounds like fun! We could meet at Starbucks on Adobe road in Red Bluff it is right off of the freeway so very easy to get to and get back on the freeway. There is also a Burrito bandito and a sandwich shop if you are wanting lunch. PM me and we can exchange phone numbers.

ahhh, aren't you sweet. Someday we will get to meet at Granzella's for a wonderful lunch and talk sewing machines. We are the same age too so we have a lot in common. We will bring our spouses and make it a day! For those who do not know, Granzella's is a wonderful Interstate 5 pit stop for travelers and for those from the north who want to have a quick visit with families or friends from the Bay Area we meet in the middle there. I would drive my mother to Granzellas, my sis would meet us there driving up from Stockton and pick her up and a week later we would "exchange the mother" again. LOL

i sure am up for that. That's the best scenario - drinking coffee and talking about sewing machines. Honestly I have not been to granzellas and would love to go there. We used to go camping at Whiskeytown thrice a year and love Shasta lake. I sure will take you on your offer and would love to meet someone as crazy as me about vintage sewing machines

I love how you matched the colors of the case to the machine.

You did a great job! It is so nice that you were able to restore this wonderful old case, rather than assigning it to the landfill. It looks great!

Thanks guys, as an artist the colors are one of my biggest things and it was fun spending time in Home Depot selecting all of the paint chips. I couldn't match it exactly because Gussie is a metallic blue but I got pretty close.
