Love it, thimblebug! That round of friendship stars makes the center look like friendship stars on crack!

Last month someone here wanted to know what pattern I had used for my center Medallion. I just happened to find the pattern a few minutes ago & here is where I got it from. It came from "American Quilter" magazine September 2010 and is called "Dragonfly Blossoms".

Now what can I respond to that? LOL
I am enjoying this, but it sure "grew" with that row added, I plan to make it into a rectangle so better start thinking about that.

Rodney if you have don't many hst this is what I do: if it says cut it at 3" then cut in half to make two triangles.. I cut it at 3.18 so there is a smidgeon more room when you sew it back together with another half square.. and THEN I put the omnigrid over the top and make sure its the right size and trim off what is not needed so its a perfect 2.5" square when done. I suck at making perfect hst' squares so a bit more is safer

Today I cut all the pieces I need for the next round! took a couple pictures so when the first comes I will have a simple photo journal for you to follow should you chose to . Its a fun round, not terrifically hard and if your not using scraps should go pretty fast. If your scrappy like me it takes a bit more time but worth it. I am so excited to get going early so I will positively have it ready. no rushing!!! yahoo!!!! I spend more time coming up with ideas than I do sewing sometimes lol. Hope everyone is having a peaceful evening!

Sent my first medallion wall hanging to my LAQuilter. It came out gorgeous, gorgeous! I will show you as soon as I get the binding on. I am following this thread and making small wall hangings for gifts. I want to try one with those stars!

Enjoying all the eye candy and making plans for my own. I've got to get a few projects finished up first but hopefully by the first week in March I'll have it ready to go! The quilts look lovely, ladies and gentlemen.

ok we are at mid month a short one at that I wonder if any more of you are going to add a round this month? do you have fabrics picked out and cut? if you do it in steps it really isn't that bad cut one day.. sew a bit another day then attach your rows another day.. you can easily break it up and finish still on time I can say you will be so happy when you finish this month and next month my round is fairly simple and fast and I believe even Jan's round is also going to be simple and fast so you can wiz through those. Easier to stay on top of things than to catch up. so please if you can get moving! I am right here to cheer leader you on and help you make a decision. In fact all the group is here to push you on and to help. Stuck on what to do around your center post it and lets talk about it. We can figure it out. I know we can! (you can do it rah rah rah you can do it shish boom ba)..

I just got my new computer yesterday and have the printer installed, so now I can print papers for the round I chose. I picked a block similar to the friendship star, but that is pp'd and the points look more like the ones in my middle star. I plan to work on it this afternoon and tomorrow.
