    The one tip I can offer is go big or go home. Seriously, the bigger the blocks, the easier your quilt will be as a QAYG.

    Ive made a Fun and Done quilt. You fold the backing to the front for sashing. Easy to do.
    Tried to download a picture but it just wont work for some reason.

    I have done a few QAYG using the method you describe where you stitch the front seams and hand stitch the back. It's the method I prefer. I rather enjoy hand work, so it works well for me. There is a tute for that method somewhere. Maybe google it? Good luck!
