    What a beautiful quilt and quite a wonderful story for your quilt. You should use some of that story on the quilt label, as it is a very special quilt.

    And I thought the quilt I started three years ago is an old UFO!!! Yours is very pretty, worth finishing for sure!!!

    quiltjoey, what? over 40 years ago? I can not begin to imagine what you were feeling when you started working on this piece again. I had people bumps just from reading your post. What a treasure, what a meaningful heirloom. I am so touched that you shared.

    Oh my goodness. If you were this good with needle turn applique then you really must be great now. Great work. Stitches are just about invisible.
