I made on for my sister and daughter. My father past away and I took his shirts to make 2 wall hangings. My dad was a New York Yankees fan. I found some material with New York Yankees on it. I made it the center and cut out squares and triangles for around it. Both were different and very cute. The have a part of his shirt I also got a picture of him in his army uniform and put it in the middle.

What a wonderful way to keep him in each of your families lives! Great work and wonderful idea. I wish that I would have been interested in quilting earlier on, before my dad or father in law pasted away.

My deepest sympathies in the loss of your DH. I know the children and grandchildren will love having the memory quilts.

Your quilt is very nice. How wonderful that you'll have enough to make a quilt for each child and grandchild.

I join so many others in saying I am sorry for your loss. There is healing in doing positive things and you are lovingly reaching out to others in the family to help them in their path of grieving. This is certainly a celebration of a life that can be shared.

My daughter's husband died much too soon. I took his very colorful and whimsical ties and made small wall hangings for the three children and my daughter.

I am sure the family will treasure these quilts. You are so thoughtful to make this wonderful remembrance. I believe it has been healing for you also, just to touch his shirts again. Blessings to you.
