Penny, you made me cry...your post was so "real" and so emotional...you indeed are blessed, as we all are to have these on line friends! Cant wait to see the pictures!

I played with my templates some today. My one question to blue or anyone...are ALL the blocks 12" finished? How did you make them 12 1/2 for the swap? scant 1/4" seam? My granddaughter was looking at the booklet that came with set 1 and of course wants the Calypso one...maybe in 10 or so years!! LOL Heres a picture of one I made out of scraps.

Terri, whew Im glad you said that because I had to re-cut 2 or 3 of my pieces because I cut them wrong! That's VERY pretty. Ive determined that "color" is one of the most important parts of these angle blocks. I doubt if just a red/white/blue would show off the angles as well as "color". Keep posting please!! Ill try another one after I do taxes for a couple of friends and see what size they turn out!

Fun fabrics really set these blocks off! Stripes are great fun in them too.
The blocks should come 12.5 inches which makes them 12 inch finished blocks when they are placed into a quilt.
As for red white and blue, just play with the blocks too see. Some of them will look great in just three colors.
I had (until my PC died in a storm two weeks ago) EQ5 and I previewed the blocks and various colors in it.

I will be gone all next week so I probably won't post too much during that time. Work is sending me Palm Springs. Such a pain...
NOT!! Finally I will see some sun and warm my toes !
When I get back we can go over the Angle Play stuff, maybe do a lesson or start a thread on them. They are such fun!
Have fun with them ladies!

Got my book, but left it at work so didn't get to try them this weekend!! DGS is wrestling at State competition next Saturday! So very proud of him, and plan on spending the day watching him, so, sadly, won't be at the sewing machine!!

terriamn, Veeerrry nice choice of color/prints on your gold/green block. It looks great! I like the pattern. I was browsing this thread, never heard of that Angle book or author...

Default All completed blocks are here!

OK, I'm off to sort the final package and start sealing up your packages with your completed blocks. I wish I could be there when you all open them up. The blocks I've seen come through here are just so lovely!

THANK YOU EVERYONE for sticking to your promises about keeping the deadline! What a terrific group you all are!

Many, many hugs,
Janice
