Now THIS is something I can see myself doing. I have a bunch of batting scraps (poly) that I've saved and saved in case I make some more rag quilts. The problem is, I'm all "tired of" making rag quilts, so they just sit down there. But, I do have pillow cases--can pick them up for a few cents, used, or I can find some not so nice ones--and sew them shut and then find an animal shelter to donate them to. Wow. I just hadn't thought of something so simple. Do I feel dumb!

Won't do this with fabric scraps, but rather poly batting scraps!

I read everyone's suggestions and they are very helpful. I am planning to use my strip scraps to make a braided rug or a toothbrush rug. After having seen a rag rug, pieces of fabric sewn on a either burlap ,lightweight canvas or muslin, I might try this. I really did like the cosmetic bag. All very good ideas.

Heart pillow stuffing for heart hospital patients and for breast cancer patients. we sew a ribbon on the pillow for the ladies to go over theie shoulder to keep under the arm while healing.

These scraps look to narrow to do much with. I would ask your local quilt shop if is there is anyone who collects fabric scraps for dog bed pillows. This what many of us do in Phoenix.

I would toss them. It's no different then scraping off dinner plates of left over food in the trash.

Animal shelters would love to receive a pillow made from scraps as what they have has to be washed so frequently that they wear out quickly and their funds for replacements also run out quickly. Your local shelter would love you for it.

I take all my scraps and stuff cat and puppy beds with them and give them to a local vet. I also buy fleece on sale and make blankets for the animals who have surgery. I no longer have a pet but my vet loves theses beds and blankets.

Yep, mine gets used in doggie pillows for humane society.

I'd keep any that are an inch wide. The rest would leave the house, either in the trash or for doggy beds.
