I think the same. My GA block is done but I forgot to snap a pic before we left town. Hope to be home by end of the week.

Kalama you inspire me! Gorgeous layout.

I have been lurking, watching all these absolutely beautiful blocks. And, I keep thinking I will jump in and start, so I made a schedule up to show me which blocks were due when. (Now, why did I think that would spur me on???? lol)
Anyway, I hope I don't step on anyone's toes by doing this, but I see that there is some confusion about what is due for which week. I do hope no one gets offended by my doing this.

I won't copy & post from an Excel spreadsheet again. Columns are really a pain.

I believe Carrie is the one who started the Stars, who said to us one a week...well, I look at the months and not the weeks sometimes. Yes, its a 12 month program, letting us plan for when life hits a foul run. To date this month, my score is zero on home runs. I do love the posting done by each participating member 'cause I know how much time and effort it takes to do a Star. They are fun and with colors each of us choose, they all look different and will make a lovely quilt. If you are still at the starting gate, try a couple, the size you prefer...and post it here. Its a very supportive group who uphold all the QB rules of being nice to one another...and have been know to take it a step further in helping one another. I have the greatest regard and respect for each and everyone.

..ok I took the book in to have it spiral bound. It will be ready in day or two..now I am wanting, I think, to Oder the foundation factory program....confused....do I purchase Foundation Factory program to 50 fabulous stars? Also, I think I want the backup disc? Then, if I buy, should I do the transaction on the computer I want it downloaded on--- desktop not laptop, I am not a computer guru.sorry if these ???s are dumb, but I don't know who else to ask.
Oh, just give me a sewing machine and a stack of fabric........much easier!

Nina, I guess you are the 'auxiliary' In my humble an auxiliary is what keeps the lodge alive...

Geri, I bought the software, and I paid for the hard copy also because I do like the ability to load on different computers, computers don't last forever. But you'd probably be fine just doing the download on the computer that is connected to your printer. There is no reason to get the program if you are just going to scan the blocks from the book.

I got the program because I didn't want to make 12" blocks. My original plan was to make 5" blocks. They kept printing at 10" which turned out to be fine (I hadn't checked or unchecked something) I'm so glad I didn't print all those blocks to finish at 5". Good gad, I would have been trying to sew 2 threads to one thread!

None of the blocks are particularly difficult, it is just the idea of HOW MANY PIECES? that can mentally overwhelm. All block making of any kind is simply sewing one piece of fabric to another one piece at a time. The total is immaterial.

Barb, your list is great, I originally meant to just make one block a week, but I couldn't seem to get organized, so just kept making blocks. If I'd thought to do a list or had yours in the beginning I would have been on track with you all.

the blocks shared are really lovely, and proof we can use any fabric for any quilt block. I learned that when I was making my dear jane quilt 15 or 16 years ago. ALL fabrics look good on jane, and consequently everywhere else too.

Mirab, where's the flowers? the pinks? the roses? Just kidding--I love your block and the colors you're using. Usually I can pick your blocks out of a line-up but not these. Love what you're doing!

Thanks Barb in Louisiana. I always have to look back to see what I did last week. I make mine about a month ahead but try to only post on the week. Your list will help.
