After MONTHS away from quilting, and probably a year from participating in the VQW, your email came at the right time to "force" my hand back to the machine.
I have a commissioned quilt that I really must finish before the gal has to sue my estate for the dang thing.
So I'll be working on quilting the remaining 3 quadrants of that and sewing them together with black sashing strips. Wish I knew how to work my camera so I could share this with you all; that would probably encourage me to stick with it when my back begins to hurt and the temptation to nap hits.
I'll be checking back in occasionally and reporting progress.....for myself if not necessarily of interest to others, LOL! First have to dig out the sewing space so I can find the machine after months of "tossing stuff in there and slamming the door!"

Thimblebug 6000: Sorry to hear about your broken elbow. I hope it heals quickly!
Raggiemom: Thanks for starting this month's link again. I look forward to these weekends even if I don't always get much accomplished. Great table toppers!
Jan in VA: Welcome back! I understand the back hurting and having to find the sewing machine! I will be looking for your progress on here.
I was on Spring Break this week (I'm a substitute so I enjoy Spring Break too).
Therefore, I got an early start on my Virtual Weekend. I want to finish 2 more tote bags(total of 6 this week) for Sadie's Dream for a Cure and also finish organizing my sewing area. I will be following along and enjoying everyone's projects.

This sounds like fun! Our guild is actually having a day together at a local church tomorrow for National Quilters Day! Should be fun! Starts at 9 and goes until 7. I have a bag full of different projects to bring with me to see if I can get caught up! I am hoping to get some Christmas gifts started too!

Can I join in? I'm finally back to sewing and am committed to making a shower curtain with a quilted medallion and a quilted stuffed hound to raise money for Michigan Basset Rescue. Almost finished the curtain and the squares to make the fabric for the hound are abouth halfway finished.

I HOPE to get back to sewing my batik strip quilt. At the moment my sewing room looks like it exploded! Last Friday, a now retired friend called me and said "I'm purging my stash and offering you first dibs". Of course, when you tell a quilter free fabric, you don't waste time. Another firend and I went over Sauday afternoon and picked it all up, back to my house to sort. She took two boxes full, I got inspired to do a major re-org, so many tubs spread out. One big pile for the guild comfort quilt program. At least I will be better able to find stuff, it has been pretty piled up since we moved into the new house last summer.
