Default Need help with Janome 7700 Horizon

My good deal on Craig's list might be costly. It does look brand new. Took in for check up when I receive dirt. Have not used it put a cover over it to keep dust off, been in a perfect temp. LCD screen did not want to cone on went blue now a while. No print, no errors no noting. I'm just sick and thinking I might be too costly to fix. Anyone have any ideas or quick cures.

I think there's a little adjusting wheel that changes the contrast of the screen (I'm mot in front of mine at the moment). See if that makes a difference. Also, have you tried to sew even if the screen isnt showing anything? If its just the contrast I would expect it to still sew

I don't have my machine in front of me either, but I agree with Janice that it might be the contrast. I read somewhere that these LCD screens heat up pretty fast and will malfunction, but if it's happening when it's cold, hmmm. You never know how much it's going to cost until you ask, so don't stress out until you know for sure. Depending on how old it is you might be under warranty. Take it to your local shop and find out.

I work at my local Janome dealership occassionally and I know there are some reset procedures for the screens and such that the service guy does from time to time. Involves a certain combination of buttons and it fixes certain screen issues. I don't know much more than that, but it might not be an expensive fix.
