So if that purse is the same as the one I did,

which it looks the same, but what about the inside?

Then I think since you have the matching wallet, you should charge no less than $50. And that is a steal. Love your purse!! and the fabric combo.

Beautiful, you did a great job. I've some similar bags, but without the wallet for $35, which my friends think is quite reasonable.

I think the $45 sounds fair, not knowing how to determine how to charge for items, but knowing they take lots of work and your materials have to be added in. you don't get to buy in bulk and get it for less like a store would.

I love them both! You did a wonderful job and $50 doesn't sound like too much to me. I bet she couldn't buy it anywhere else that cheap! Also depends how good a friend she is?

Depends on how many more you want to do! $45 does not seems like enough to me- I've made purses and wallets and thought they are not large, they are a lot of detail work. If I had a good friend I wanted to have this, I'd say, it's a gift, but DO NOT TELL ANYONE WHERE YOU GOT THIS! Which I HAVE done. I would not want a boatload of handbag and wallet orders and only make $45. Your purse is lovely, by the way. If you sold it the on the " open market" you could get much more! Nice job!

Have you been to the new Sew Kreative store there? Did that used to be Riverside Stitching and they moved?

Beautiful purse and wallet. I guess I would ask, "how much do I like this friend". I purchased a purse that looks like this for $45 w/o the wallet. I think that if a friend had made something like this for me, I would want to be sure she was compensated for her time, effort and care that she took to give me something so special. I know I would be willing to pay at least $50-60 and have the memories of my friend also. Good luck and keep up the great work.

Amythyst02, your purse is beautiful, I didn't take picture of inside but it did have some pockets.
