I love it! Thanks!

I didn't get to work on anything over the weekend. DH had Friday through Sunday off ... an unusual thing to happen ... so we took full advantage of the time and went out and had some fun.

I'll get my nose back to the grindstone ... er ... sewing machine in just a bit. I think there's about 6 blocks left to do. The plan is to get the rest finished tonight, but we'll see if that actually happens or not.

Here's three:

Mosher92 - my own pattern ... kind of a Jacob's Ladder, but rearranged a bit.

Bluelady - Indian Mats

Janicemcc - Broken Wheel

And the last three.

TheMamaHauser - Anvil. Sorry it's a rather simple block, but I couldn't bear to cut those gorgeous flowers any smaller.

Jaba - Jacob's Ladder, one of my favorite 2-color blocks. (Well, it could have more colors, but I like it as a 2-color block.)

And here's Marcialee's block. This is a Log Cabin Variation block, and it's the first time I made one. It turned out to be my absolute favorite block of all. (Can I keep it? LOL!)

I think that finishes up my blocks.

You know how life has a way of throwing surprises at you. I had just been commenting that this was the best part of life. We had our helath, fun toys and finacially coupld splurge here and there. THEN company meeting and departments from our company are going to merge with Sister company. Jobs will be lost, people will be retrained and some might have to move out of state to keep their job. My entire department will be leaving for sure and my dh also works their as Logistics manager and we don't know anything about his job yet. Change occurs in November and I plan to retire in April, hubby has 10 years till retirement. We both made it through a buy out and major lay offs 12 years ago and are just plain shoocked by this turn of events. Trying to be positive but really just non stop crying. Terriamn

so sorry to hear that Terriamn...I was hoping the economy would get better but its worse than ever around here. Factories closing, business moving, bakery closed...and there is nothing else for folks around this area. I feel so sorry for you and your family...went thru it when Catapillar laid off my son, daughter in law was pregnant, they had 3 kids between them already. I understand the crying. PLEASE try to think positive...I know it will not be an easy time but I know a LOT of women on here that will be praying for you and your family!! Hugs!

As for my making 2 blocks, some of you said "do you want to do 2"? So I hope you remember that you were making 2 for me also. If not that's okay too. Personally most of the time you have enough to make 2 and where everyone's is so different I hate to waste the fabric. If you ask for it back I make 1 and send back because I figure you are running short of fabric or want it for a pillow, a scrappy border, etc. Most generally I send you a PM and ask if you want another block from me or would you rather have the fabric. If you make me 2 blocks I would love it but I did ask for leftover's back because I won't have enough blocks without them.
Mosher I made these for you yesterday and just didn't get them posted, literally fell asleep while I was waiting for pics to upload on this board and on FB board. Been to the doctors all day and another MRI on the back so it's going to be the same if I don't get off of here. Hope to sew again tomorrow and will post. Hope these will work for you
