I have the same panel which I purchased at least about seven years ago for around two dollars. Love how you used it, thanks for the idea.

So how did you do the star quilting in your baby quilt? They are perfect for the quilt and very nice.
I made a star using my photo program. Then I printed one on freezer paper, cut it out and ironed it on the block. I stitched around the shape using my dual feed on my Pfaff. Then I removed the freezer paper and stitched inside the shape again. I have done this with many geometric shapes. Similar to using a stencil but I can make any shape I want, any size and I can even skew it if I want a wonky star, etc.

I say fabulous. I'm still working on (FMQ) making mine look that good. lol (I know, lots and lots of practice.) I truly believe, that some just have the artistic talent that comes natural. I think you got it! By the way, adorable baby quilt.
