I used fusible once for a lap sized quilt and I won't do it again. It was very hard to unwrap because it was stuck to itself. It took probably 2 to 3 hours to fuse the quilt together, and I had to refuse it after quilting half because of all the handling and moving the quilt around. I tried basting with 505 next, I loved it but it was too expensive. I am glue basting now and I love it. It takes 15 to 30 minutes to baste a quilt and a gallon of elmers glue cost about $17.

I really like the Hobbs fusible batting and have used it on many of my quilts. I bought several queen aand twin size fusibles when Connecting Threads had it on 40% off. I find it fast and easy to use. I usually just iron it on my quilting table and it works fine. So much faster than pinning and cheaper than 505 spray, although I do like 505 spray as well.

I switched to Elmer's School glue. I won't baste any other way now.
