Whitepine, I love yours!! The colors are great. Good point about a queen size needing to be more square. Maybe I don't need to make mine rectangular. It's going in the guest room.
Love yours too, Quilter 65!!
Jill, I can't wait to see yours with a couple more rounds on it. It's going to be gorgeous!

Thanks everyone. This is sure a fun project.
Jill, my last round is jaba's chain. I noticed that if the sides will take an even number of blocks the corners turn out the same, as in my quilt. If the side take an uneven number of blocks the corners will be different. My quilt took an uneven number, so to keep the corners the same, I added that red block in the center of each side. That made the chain turn direction. So the purpose of the middle block was to keep the corners the same but I ended up liking the way it looked too.

whitepine, thank you for the info.....I should know better than to look at pictures posted here on my phone! I didn't realize your chain was composed of squares...mine is 1/4 and 1/2 triangles, and I couldn't figure out how to make it work looking like your pretty border! I redid the corners, and the chain is not perfect, but it looks better than it did, and I am moving on! I am working on a border of "economy blocks", or sq. in a sq. in a sq. Took me awhile to figure out the cutting dimensions......made several test squares out of scraps, and I think I finally have it! lol. Math is my nemesis. Its raining here this afternoon, so I hope to make some progress!

This month has flown by so fast!! Been doing a lot of sewing and quilting for customer's and a quilt for hubby. Looked at the calendar and I think I better work on a round for my quilts. Need something for all of you to ponder over and decide if it will work for you. Today is the day, hope to find something you will like!

Very nice, I think they all play well except for me I think I'd try something else in the corners, Like a HST pointed in to match up with your two squares. The dark blue & the back ground color of your squares. Just my suggestions, what do others think?

My original plan was a square in a square (just 2 squares instead of 3 like the others) with green background and dark blue inner square ....and boy do the colors look funky on my ipad!! . Thank you for the input!

I have finally made a decision on mine, so I now call it good & done. It doesn't need to be any bigger. Have included finished picture & a mess of close ups as some are asking for close up pictures of our fabric choices. Bear with me in the download of them.
