Thanks QuiltE and oksewglad. Like the witch hats, I only have a couple of small pieces left of the feet fabric. 3 pieces of the feet: 1"x3.5", 2"x3.5", 4"x3.5". Enough to mix with another colour later. Hmmm, maybe a block with the sage and my fabrics?

Thank you dublb and Anael. I never seem to be able to just DO. I always feel the need to tinker and put my own spin on things. I have a few more designs of my own to do and plan to make larger pieces of those. I now know that the resist stage exhausts me but, if I have it in a place that is safe from kitties I can do it over an entire day if I want.

Oh my ... we sure do not want dyed Kitties!
Wonder ... with the nicer weather, what about doing the dyeing in the garage??
    (away from the precious cars!)

QuiltE - until at least one car sells, there is no room away from the cars. Plus, it's cold in the garage. And I was more worried about paw prints on the fabric, not coloured kitties. lol

Yeah, if I tried somethin' like that I'd have black cat paw-prints all over my house (my new house has white carpet, I hate white carpet) but I'd git no paw-prints on the fabric that I wanted it on. Neither o' the cats that allow us ta live w/'em would tolerate it.

Don't think it didn't cross my mind QuiltE. But, I am talking the resist stage so I would end up with glue in places I don't want glue. I wonder if Dainty would stand for some eco-friendly dye on her paws? I know Samantha sure wouldn't.

I can't imagine white carpet in a house. At least not MY house. We had off-white when we moved inn here. Brand new off-white carpet that the previous owner steam cleaned the morning we were moving in. Within a year we had converted to hardwood. Our house is lived in and I'd much rather quilt or cross stitch than clean.
