Happy Birthday, Jaba!! Wow, love the flying geese idea. I'm going to see how that one will look.

Hope these "flying geese" will work for some of you, not particularly on the quilt you're making now but maybe in the future! Makes them so much easier. Thank you for the birthday wishes, means more than you know! Going out to dinner with my husband tonight and even get to celebrate tomorrow. My Dad and step mother are taking us to dinner tomorrow, keep in mind...my Dad is 95 yrs. young. Special days and special moments for sure. Again thank you, much appreciated.

Here's mine now together. I have decided on the "dancing" piano key for the next border. I am not sure what I will do in the corners yet though...

Well, I am still fiddling with my peacock center and hope to make a final decision soon. In the mean time, I was given this "Life is Just a Chair of Bowlies" panel and added rounds to get the following. This is a lap quilt so I do not intend to add any more rounds to it, just a black binding.

I need to catch up. Sill do not have last months even started. Had some life bumps along the way. Just did not have the time or energy to dig in. My husband suffered several strokes and found he had a hole in his heart. We were very fortunate though. The hole has been fixed to prevent strokes. The strokes effected his eyesight. We are still working on that. He has not been able to work for 6 weeks, so no income. He owns his own one man business. Then my grandson who was 2 in Dec was put in the hospital over Easter weekend with pneumonia. He is fine now, but that was an awful weekend. I truly believe you have to have the sorrow before the joy. Just found out last night, my grandson will be welcoming a little brother in September. Such joy to be blessed with another little man in our lives. Now to decide what quilt to make for him. :-)

Carrie: Been admiring your use of color and shape. Love the way the borders flow into each other. Can't wait to see your piano keys. Biblio: The airy crispness of your "Chair of Bowlies" is amazing. The twining ribbon, with its introduction of the green is just perfect. Su: My thoughts are with you and your family. What a trying Spring you've had. Hope your husband is improving daily.
