Jabba: My top measures 82 X 82 not including the round for May. I will probably go two more, May and June. You and Brat have provided so many neat options that I can go back and use one of the ones you've already done if you don't want to go on.

Welcome everyone! I am sorta back. Key word: sorta. I have moved in and just a little bit more to do at the other house so Jan can rent it. I have been working here/there/everywhere it seems! and the energy of a limp noodle to go with it. so its a slow slow process. I am going to show what I tried with the 'entwined pattern' which is on quilterscache in the border section. It is just like biblio's work only mine was in blues. Its a wonderful block pattern but unfortunately the sample I did 20 blocks worth is wrong for my quilt. what I made is too pale for the bold colors of my quilt so I am going to save that work for another project. surely something will come along.. or I will make something up so I can use those puppies! lots of work went into them easy but time consuming. next time will use that round earlier on so its not so darned big! I have to run out to the market and pick up some batteries for the camera but should get them posted later today. I want to thank all of you for your patience with me this month and for the wonderful sharing of all your pictures. I am amazed at everyones creativity and positive sharing of their work. It helps everyone become a better quilter and that my friends is a true gift.

Brat: No patience required. You and Jabba have provided so much fun and stretched my abilities. Thank you for all the enjoyment. Hope you regain some energy soon. Even when in perfect health, moving is exhausting.

I have been lurking here since the beginning. These are all coming out gorgeous. I wish I had been able to start with you guys but life etc gets in the way sometimes. I have several demos to do at quilt guild and way too many UFO's. I did come over to here and use the piano key border. I was going to just make a regular piano key border but I liked this one better. I have a new iPhone and need to learn how to get pictures from it onto here.
Keep up the beautiful work. I am enjoying looking at all of it.

Carrie, the gold top and bottom are perfect!

Brat, glad you are getting settled....moving is such a transition. I visited a friend in Cheyenne....pretty part of the world up there!

Our trip yo the grands is postponed a week-I have waited forever to get into a specialist, and wouldn't ya know they call with a cancellation this week? . Oh well....it has been cold and rainy, so I have worked on this quilt. I finally figured out that I need to add a small green filler block to the side borders....it was driving me crazy trying to figure out the math! Lol! I may be finished adding borders....it's large lap quilt size, and I want to practice FMQ on it, so I don't want it too large. May add a small border with some applique....not sure.

Thanks for the continued inspiration....I have stretched myself on this project, and I thank all of you!!

Jaba, I'm game for more rounds if you want to. I sure appreciate all the work it takes. I'm heading for a king or until my fabric runs out. Whichever comes first.

Elizabrat, Don't push it. Moving is so stressful. I think it's in my not to distant future too and I'm not looking forward to it. I keep thinking I need to do some severe sorting because I still have stuff in boxes from two moves ago.

Jill--your quilt looks great! The skinny pink border was a good break before the last border.

Jill: I so agree with Carrie, that border draws a really nice line around the center. One of the many lessons, if your not sure how two borders are going to play together add a frame. Meanmom: This might be the hard way but I just e-mail the picture to my computer. Looking forward to seeing your picture.

Brat, so glad you are making progress. Moving is such hard work when you are feeling at your best so do take care of yourself.

Jillmc, fabulouso!! The 9-patch added the length and the pink tied it all together. For the outer border, I see an on-point block to not disrupt the flow of the diamonds in some fashion. Don't know what width you'd have to work with so maybe not even possible.

Carriem, I love the golden ribbon blocs top and bottom to add length. Very pretty. Emma, my LAQer always says, "You like big quilts, don't you?" when I take one to her.

Different choices of color and fabric and combinations are endless and so interesting. BTW, still waiting on my machine so no forward progress on mine yet. Missed a call and think it was the repairman. Hope he has good news. Withdrawal, big time!
