    Default Police Quilt

My friend has a friend that is a policeman in the local PD. He just got promoted and she offered to make him a wall hanging quilt for his new office. We've been working together on quilts and we thought this would be something fun. It turns out he is a fan of Capt. America so we decided on a patriotic theme with Capt. America somewhere in the quilt. We had finally got all our materials together and were finishing up our ideas when she fell in her garden and broke her right shoulder! So guess who got the project all to myself! As it turns out, I totally loved working on this! My friend hasn't quilted much, so this gave me an opportunity get creative without having to teach her to sew! I had to erase his name info, but it was embroidered in gold. I did a lot of quilting on each block, but you can't see it in any pictures I took. The back is entirely Capt. America fabric!
I gave this to her today and she was very pleased. I can hardly wait until the friend receives it!

Beautiful quilt! You did an amazing job. My son is a police officer and I intend to make him a quilt. I have a lot of police material, hope I can do one as nice as yours.
