It's a beautiful quilt and I like how you quilted it. It's a great way to tell her how much you appreciated that she was there for your brother. You're right moms do not particular like having their kids in the ER. Someone once told me that being a parent was a lifetime sentence, at times frustrating, but it can be so rewarding. Hope your brother is on the road to recovery and will be well soon.

Thank you! That strikes me as the perfect way to describe parenthood - not that I know firsthand yet, but my parents did a pretty darn good job if I say so myself. I tease my mom sometimes about how much she worries about us but I'm really very lucky and I hope someday I can be as great a mom to my own kids.
