I hate to admit this but I didn't have a clue how to change the needle position until I started looking at my manual last night and playing with the machine. I learned something new about my 1530 (given to me used by someone who inherited it). I'm making a note to put in my manual for future use.

I feel 50 pounds lighter, the sun is brighter, the grass is greener, and the air smells wonderful now that I know how to move the needle!
