    Default Girly Baby Quilt

My Goddaughter is expecting a baby and is doing a princess theme room. I want to do a girly quilt with pinks but not really a traditional pattern. Has anyone done a girly quilt lately and can point me in a direction. I've done plenty of baby quilts for boys and girls but this one has me stumped.

I would think that pink alone would be enough to scream girly. But, If you want it non traditional, try adding a solid or tone tone to it. (Like mint green, aqua or yellow. Or if your feeling adventurous, Orange.) I will be starting a pink, orange and yellow toddler quilt for my neighbors little girl soon. She's a sassy little Miss. I'm not really partial to adding white to a baby quilt. Too hard to keep clean. But, white does give it a modern crisp feel. (So do what your heart calls out to you.) You could do something simple like a 9patch spaced with snowballs or just a simple patchwork is nice also. I also adore pinwheels. It would be striking with a variety of pinks and another color.

I made one with embroidered princess, pinwheels and funky stars. I wish I knew how to add a picture with this message. The little girl just loved it.
