I'm very proud of him and he's not even my child!

Thank -you for sharing these photos, and I hope he does well at the fair. Your comment about pride and jealousy struck a cord with me. My mom taught me to sew and I was not a willing student. Now years latter I can see in her eyes and emotions their is the same pride and jealousy of which you speak. When ever anyone comments on my quilting I always give credit to my Mom. Had she not taught me ... I would not be a quilter/sewer today. My skills came from her. It will always be on the top of my list of most cherished gifts she passed on to me. Be proud !

I can see it now when the looks of jealousy show up on the young ladies who place after he wins the top ribbon. LOL! Be proud...Be very proud. My DH helped me start my sewing again. He used to help his sisters with their home ec classes. His mother taught him the basics and he went from there.

Absolutely brilliant work! Puts me to shame. He has had a very gifted teacher in his mum! Well done both of you.

How neat! I love that he seems so intense with his work. I see a gift sewing machine in his future. LOL...

His points are beautiful, but you have given him the passion to do well and the love of quilting.

He has his own Janome machine LOL, we got it for him last year for Christmas but he prefers to use either my Brother PQ1500 or the vintage Singer ! " My machine has too many buttons on it , I get confused " is what I am told LOL . Since we don't have the space for another machine I have learned to share !
